DISCOTION PILL

Ketika Apple Tree vakum cukup lama, Dizta, sang vokalis, pada pertengahan 2006 memutuskan mengajak Dex, drummer di kelompok yang sama, mendirikan DISCOTION PILL. Konsep yang dipilih pun berbeda dari band mereka sebelumnya. Terinspirasi dari perjalanannya ke Jepang dan menonton Boom Boom Satellite, Dizta mengajukan konsep padu padan antara Punk Rock dan Electronica yang segera saja diiyakan oleh sejawatnya yang lain, Yudha. Penamaan band “Discotion Pill” (pil untuk berdisko campur distorsi) yang memang mencerminkan format musikal mereka, juga riang disepakati bersama. Resep yang “aneh” buat skena musik di Bali (bisa jadi merupakan yang pertama di Nusantara) ini akhirnya mendapat sambutan meriah dari publik muda. Peminat Punk Rock relatif mudah dirangkul, sementara para gadis penggemar dansa-dansi juga gampang diakrabi. Tak heran jika kontingen asal Kuta ini amat laris diundang manggung di begitu banyak acara (utamanya di Pulau Dewata). Pamor trio ini makin moncer begitu single mereka yang masuk ke album kompilasi MOSHPIT MAVERICKS, Kecewa, menghiasi klasemen atas radio-radio lokal. Dan beberapa bulan setelah album penuh, AMPHETAMINE, dirilis, sosok legendaris dari Jerman, Peter Heckman, menyediakan dirinya untuk memproduseri Discotion Pill. Right on!

Well… kita dari DP juga kesel banget,,
disana ada “machine-error” di atas panggung,tapi penonton bikin kita smangat maen,,REALLY AWESOME AUDIENCE for that Nite..,tapi hmmmm,,kembali kepada waktu,, gara2 seseorang telat dateng,smwa jadi ancur deh schedulenya.. SORRY GUYS,, But Thx for comin ! Love you all ! DP
